In and of itself, I have no problem believing that someone can sense spirits. The problem I have with it is that it can't be validated, calculated, backed up by evidence. Anyone can claim to sense them, and nobody can say if its real or not. That is why we are such fans of video and audio evidence.

I would love to go ghost hunting! I'm a big ol' chicken though so I'm not sure if I'd ever actually go. I'm curious though... what's wrong with someone sensing an angry spirit?

You did a great job with this exercise! I saw it elsewhere as well, and have been wanting to try it! Think I will now! Glad to find you, too. Thanks for commenting over at NTT so I found this blog!

I couldn't agree with you more! I did vote for Obama but even when it's a President I did not vote for, I still show respect. I don't know what has happened to our country. It gets worse by the day. Children are being taught by their parents to disrespect others. The parents today are just as likely to boo the President as children. So many people these days take to just plain rude measures to voice their opinions. It's a sad, sad world we live in.

That is a good question. So many of us are remembered until our grandchildren leave this earth, and then our photographs become just another nameless face. Our names are forgotten, and our antiques that were passed down may still be passed down, but the meaning of the person behind them is gone, other than to say it is a family heirloom.

I have thought about this too because I realize I know nothing about my parent's grandparents, and realize also that my children will not have any sort of emotional tie or connection to my grandparent's. My grandma's desk may be special to my daughter, but not for the same reason that it is special to me.

So how does one leave something behind that will be cherished for personal reasons?

How about a Rapunzel cross stitch picture, each stitch made with care, a beautiful piece of art? Beautiful workmanship, made to last for all time, something that very few can accomplish in this day and age.

Your roots are pieces of colored glass and pieces of leftover fabric and strands of yarn and thread. What you do with them, whether you see them as broken glass, scraps of fabric, and leftovers, or whether you see them as potential Tiffany lamps and stained glass windows, quilts and heirlooms, afghans and cross stitched keepsakes, well that is all up to you. Your past was very eclectic and it is your very own treasure to use however you want to. I am anxious to see the new stained glass window that is being created.
